Information Technology Workshops
Participants experience first-hand the benefits of public access to information and the integration of the Internet in all spheres of a democratic and market-oriented society. Sessions are customized for each participant or group.
When funding is available, Sabre collaborates with other organizations to conduct training at overseas locations. Training overseas can build upon Workshops held in the U.S., or can be self- contained programs. Holding Workshops overseas allows several organizations to share expenses, gives participants opportunities to network with professional counterparts, and builds indigenous training capacity.
Sabre Staff work with overseas institutions to develop library collections and technical services (particularly focussing on classification and cataloging issues) and also advises in the application of information technology.
