Distribution of mostly used books and educational resource materials is the primary focus of the Readers' Service group. It distributes donated books to church related institutions upon request.
Kinds of Books Distributed: From light fiction through the academic fields, including science, medicine, religion, English, education, sociology, psychology, anthropology, history, black studies, women's studies, art, agriculture, engineering, ethics, philosophy, theology, etc.
Destinations of Shipments: 85 countries mostly in the Third World Africa, Asia, and Latin America Some shipments to Europe.
Content Selection Policy: Institutions and individuals on the Readers' Service mailing list receive periodic lists of books available and being offered from which they make selections appropriate to their needs.
No. of Copies Distributed: 1986: 20,000; 1987: 20,000.
