Corporate contributions

Given the nature of the Book Donation Program, that is, investing in local communities around the world, Sabre offers corporate sponsors unrivalled value and positive newsworthiness, following a trail from the Sabre warehouse in the USA, right to the end-user in schools and universities in territories where a given corporation has operations and relies on the employment base and goodwill of local people. If you would like to explore sponsorship possibilities, please contact Sabre.

Sabre's supporters have been consistently impressed over the years by two measures important to donors:

  1. Cost-effectiveness - Sabre's lean staffing and no-frills operation mean that donations go into substantive programs and not administration.
  2. Program Scope and Focus - each 20-ft container-load shipped has a fair market value of from $250,000 to $500,000, depending on the kind of books; a 40-ft container holds approximately 12,000 to 16,000 tertiary level books. This translates into Sabre being able to supply higher education and medical books at a cost of between $1 and $2 per book. This figure includes pro-rated book procurement, shipment preparation and freight costs. In 2004 the average value of a new book shipped by Sabre was more than $34.
