As of January 1, 1998, non-residents' capital in Ukraine totaled $2,046.6 mln USD, as of April 1 it was 2,178.1 mln USD. The increase in non-residents' capital was $181.1 mln USD, including $114.8 mln USD on account of monetary contributions; $23.5 mln USD on account of purchase of shares; $1.6 mln USD on account of reinvestment of profits; and $57.9 mln USD in the form of movable and immovable assets.

During this period, the decrease in non-residents' capital amounted to $39.8 mln USD, including $27.4 mln USD on account of withdrawal of monetary funds, tangible and other contributions, and $9.8 mln USD because of the difference in exchange rates.
