Workshops Around the World

Sabre understands that not all interested participants will be able to travel to the Boston area. Sabre has conducted training at other locations to accommodate this need. For this service, there is a fee to cover the additional expenses incurred. Sabre is available to visit organizations overseas and at other locations in the U.S. to conduct training. Sabre's trainer will work with the participants and/or the sponsoring organization before the training to assess the training needs and then adapt materials and workshops to accommodate local conditions. By training in-country, Sabre's trainer can often reach a larger audience and address specific concerns and topics of interest to the trainees. For example, a Sabre trainer traveled to Ukraine to orient legal professionals in law-related resources on the Internet. These sessions, conducted with professionals from the Ukrainian Legal Foundation, were funded by a grant under the Rule of Law Program of the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Sabre has also collaborated with other U. S.-based and international organizations that are interested in strengthening their training efforts by adding a technical training component. Inquiries about overseas services can be addressed to Kimbery Bartlett at kim@sabre.org.
